I am always on the lookout for good book recommendations from other mothers for my children. It’s also where I found the majority of my favorites. As a way to pay it forward, these 8-year old favorite books are also helpful for you!
You can check the reviews on Goodreads to determine if it is suitable for your child. It has been very helpful to me.
Kaitlyn (8 years old) has taken longer to get used to reading at night in bed than her older sister. She would say she was only going to read the pictures (which I didn’t mind). She started listening to audiobooks at the library, and reading books on her YOTO. It’s exciting to watch her begin to read at night. She still loves audiobooks but it is exciting to see that she has started to take a step into reading. It’s proof that being patient and encouraging your child gently can work.
While I was helping Kaitlyn to organize her bedroom, she showed me her newly organized bookshelf. It was optimized to showcase her current favorite titles. Many of the books were handed down from Hailey, and it was fun to see what she liked. Kaitlyn has some great book recommendations for your 8-year-old.
