The weekend theme was celebratory and relaxed, and I am thrilled that everything turned out as I had hoped. Hailey was a whirlwind of excitement when Nana and Papa John showed up on Friday afternoon. We played outside on Friday and baked cakes to have Saturday free for the birthday celebration. And celebrate we did!
We started our Saturday morning with a visit to Patterson Farms, where we picked our own strawberries. Most of us knew the idea, just pick and place in your basket.
Kaitlyn preferred the method- to shove as many strawberries into your mouth as possible.
Her strategy was fun, even though it was messier. We were all covered in strawberry syrup when we started our adventure, but we pushed through to enjoy the attractions Patterson had to offer like the baby goats, slides, playgrounds and playgrounds.
We had two girls who were exhausted by the time lunchtime rolled around. Both girls fell asleep quickly, allowing us to start party preparations as David returned from the airport.
The girls soon woke up and began to have fun.
I don’t usually spend money on cutesy clothes, but on Kaitlyn’s birthday I couldn’t help myself. She looked so cute! I’m sure she was.
