How about “Trekking Angel’s Landing: A Family Adventure”?

As I organized pictures and thoughts for our family trip, I decided to create a blog post dedicated to the search term that I had been searching incessantly during the months before our trip: hiking Angel’s Landing With Kids.

Since the day we won the lottery to hike this trail, I have asked my friends and searched the internet for every article I could find about the hike and whether the kids would be able to do it. After we’ve returned, I’d like to share our experience of hiking Angel’s Landing.

Angel’s Landing, a 1,488-foot rock formation in Zion National Park is not well known. This 5.4-mile out-and back hike is one the most famous in the world. It’s known for its tumultuous, half-mile chain section with narrow, steep drop-offs. It can be divided into two sections – before Scout’s Lookout, and after.

It’s a moderate hike that offers some nice views of the canyon and a stroll through a narrow canyon. Walter’s Wiggles is a series of switchbacks leading to Scout’s Lookout. This wide overlook has many chipmunks.

What happens after Scout’s lookout? The chain section is also known as the spine, fin or the spine. The last half-mile of the trail, which is known by many names – the chain section, the fin, or the spine – is an exciting ascent up a tight trail with sheer canyon drops and a bolted-in chain to hold onto. There are no guardrails.
