How was your weekend, dear? We’ve been so busy. It feels chaotic at home between the pantry update and getting a new refrigerator this weekend. Next week, someone will come to measure for kitchen cabinets. Let’s take a moment to catch up.
David and I finally had our long-overdue date on Thursday. We went to 131 Main which is a great date place. The food is consistently good and the ambience is pleasant without being stuffy. It is a great place to chat with your date. The seared tuna was delicious.
We did some chores and grocery shopping with the girls on Friday. We played Dominion (K kicked us in the booties) and made pizza. We bought a refrigerator on Facebook Marketplace. We were looking for a counter depth and found a GE Profile Counter Depth refrigerator that was 3 weeks old at over 50% discount. It was purchased by someone for a new home, but the size wasn’t right for them and they wanted to get rid of it. We’ve won!
It may sound easy to move a fridge, but it was really heavy. David did some clever engineering and a few neighbors helped with some muscle power to get the new fridge in the kitchen, and the old one out of the garage. The process took much longer than anticipated, but the satisfaction of having it completed was great! We watched college football and relaxed to celebrate.
Sunday was pretty typical – church, chores and exercise, showers and dinner, as we prepare for the busy week to come. We are excited to be back in full swing, with all our activities and sports!
