How about “Meal Plan for the First Week of September”?

Happy unofficial end of summer weekend and good morning! Labor Day Weekend is one of my favorites weekends. Summer fun and college football collide in a long weekend filled with good food, fun and great company. We decided to tackle house projects this year instead of going all out. Whomp, whomp.

It was nice to relax. We went through their clothes and started decorating for the fall. We also listed a lot of items that we had accumulated on Facebook marketplace. David painted and filled in the holes and I cleaned up the pantry. Today I will load it up and see the finished product. I am so excited to show you.

We also had fun watching football, relaxing at the pool and playing games. We are ready to tackle the week ahead, with soccer, co-op classes, art, theater and more. Let’s go! But first… food

Monday

Slow cooker sloppy Joes are worth a post of its own. It’s so easy to cook in the Dutch oven, because you can brown the beef and cook the onions together. Then add the rest of the ingredients and let it slow cook. The ciabatta rolls are topped with pickles and arugula that is simply dressed.
