It is almost December. How are you doing? We’re doing pretty well here, but I always expected things to be more relaxed and with more downtime. I keep up by focusing on the current priority.
Last week, for example, was all about Kaitlyn’s play (keeping kids healthy) as well as ordering any gifts that were still needed. This week, we’re preparing for our little Christmas party this weekend. We also have our donation day where we try to fulfill the wishes of our local foodbank. Next week, I’ll focus on the actual Christmas, including the menu, activities, and getting the house ready to receive guests.
This may not seem like much, but it can be a lot when you add in the home repairs (new furnace is coming today!) It can be a lot to keep up with the normal stuff like activities (we’ll be finished after this week), washing clothes, and feeding everyone. No matter what time of the year it is, I always make sure to feed everyone. It’s probably because I am more organized when I have a plan. I balance the weeks by alternating our favorite recipes and my go-tos. (Slow cooker meatballs are one of them). Here’s what we’ve eaten recently in case you need some ideas for cold weather meals.
