You’ve probably seen my Instagram posts about what I cook each evening if you are following me. I’ve enjoyed revealing the truth behind my pretty dinner photos. This is my attempt to show real family dinners in the kitchen that I have deemed as ” good-enough“. (Making dinner isn’t all about perfection).
feeding my family is not as difficult as it’s made out to. To counter this falsehood, i’m going to share my process, shortcuts, and how i serve family-style meals – both on the nights if I have time for cooking and those nights if I’m running between soccer practice or Tae Kwon Do. It was a great way to meet people in real life.
Instant Electric Precision Dutch Oven is one of the kitchen appliances I have shared more often than any other.
Before Christmas, I was in awe of the Instant Electric Precision Dutch Oven for several reasons.
- The 5-in-1 capabilities of the pan include braise, slow-cook, sear/saute and as a cooking pot.
- Control precise cooking temperature and time
- The heavy-duty cast-iron enameled cooking pot is oven and stovetop safe, and it looks beautiful.
- Pot and lid that can be washed in the dishwasher for easy and quick cleanup
- BPA/PFOA/PTFE free cooking
Instant Brand sent me one to test, with no strings attached. I took the chance and use it frequently. As I used it more, I loved the one-pot cooking style and how easy it was to clean. I knew I had to give you a review.
I own a lot of kitchen gadgets but don’t follow trends that aren’t right for me. Finding the right gadgets for your cooking style and lifestyle is the most important thing.
This includes my Rice Cooker and my Instant Electric Precision Dutch Oven. I chose the rice cooker because of its ceramic insert, but will need to write a review as I have some pointers for it.
My favorite feature is the sear/saute function! The slow cooker that I own was originally chosen for this feature, but the non-stick coating is beginning to flake. By contract, the enamel cast iron Dutch pot won’t flake, but I can still sauté garlic and onions before adding other ingredients. You can sear the meat first, then switch to slow cooking. It is incredibly convenient.
