How about “Family Ski Adventure in Steamboat 2024”?

It wasn’t my intention to ignore you, but I was so busy with the kitchen being completely remodeled and packing for our ski trip that everything else fell to the wayside. (This list is very helpful.) We managed to get everything packed up and ready for departure early on Wednesday morning. The Parking Spot was able to get us to the airport on time to catch our first flight, Charlotte to Denver. After a short layover, we were on our way to Hayden Airport, a small airport near Steamboat Springs in Colorado.

Steamboat Family Ski Trip 2020

We took a chance and chose an uber. I’ve heard that they can be unreliable but we saved about $200. The cost of a four-person shuttle was more than double the price of the 30-minute ride to town. We arrived at Steamboat Grand in the early afternoon. When we arrived at the condo, our jaws dropped when we saw how big it was. The condo had a small kitchen and dining area, a large living room, en suite bathroom, and loft. The living room connected to a hotel-style room. This gave us plenty of room to spread out with all our ski gear.

After settling in, we went to the ski boot fitting on site (make sure you make reservations). We got our boots. Once you are fitted for boots, the information is sent to the ski rental shop across the street. You can pick up your skis and poles in the morning and hop on the lift. So convenient!

We changed our plans and went to the heated pool and hottubs. The kids were very excited. One of the large hot tubs was family-friendly, while the other was for adults only. It’s great to have a choice where you can relax and not worry about your children splashing around.

After swimming, the kids were exhausted. David and I went to the Laundry for dinner. We gave them pizza and a movie. The recommendations were spot on! The food and atmosphere were both incredible. David and I shared a Brussels sprouts hash, with goat cheese and crispy truffle potatoes. All- excellent! On the way home, we stopped at a grocery shop to pick up a few things. Then, everyone went to bed.
