How about “Exploring Under Canvas Zion: A Review”?

After an unforgettable 40th birthday celebration, I am still trying to get my feet under me. It takes me some time to organize all my thoughts and 1,000 photos because I like to share every. It would be helpful to begin by describing the setting and the details of the place where we stayed in this Under Canvas Zion Review.

Under Canvas has been on my radar for years. Under Canvas offers a glamping (or upscale camping) experience in 12 locations spread across some of the world’s most popular national parks. We selected the Zion National Park for our celebration in September, hoping that it would be the perfect time to explore Zion as well as the nearby Bryce Canyon National Park.

Let’s begin at the beginning. We flew to Las Vegas, picked up a Turo car at the airport and then drove two and a half hours through Nevada, Arizona, Utah. Then we drove for two and a quarter hours through Nevada, Arizona and Utah to reach Under Canvas Zion. The drive was simple and the views were impressive when we arrived.

Then we drove to the “lobby” to check-in. We were greeted by cold water and a friendly smile. We were also given a rundown on the camp including the dining hours, what animals we could see, etc. We were then given our tent (tent 67), and we went to settle in.

Under Canvas has several tent setups. We brought the kids so we chose the Deluxe Tent which has two beds in a king size bed, and a private bathroom. Next to it was a kids tent with two beds set up as a teepee. When we booked, I mentioned that it was going to be my birthday. They added colorful pennants to our tent’s exterior as a way of celebrating the special occasion.

The tent setup was amazing. The tent was set up on the edge of camp so that no one could see us. This gave the impression we were camping alone. The tent was large, the bed was comfortable, and it all felt clean and fresh. The tent had a wood-burning stove for chilly nights or mornings. There was also a pull-chain shower, flushing toilet and sink with mirror. The kids set up right beside us in a kid’s tent.
