Summertime is a smile, a kiss, a sip, a glass of wine. The heat and humidity is insane but I don’t mind because I love spending long days in the water with my friends. This past weekend, my best friend Christen and her family visited and we all had a blast. The kids also! There wasn’t much planned other than a pool party for the neighborhood, but I love these easy-going summer days.
What else do I like about summer? What else do I love about summer? The dips. Although grilling is my preferred method of cooking, the dips are the true winners in summer food. Bring a dish for backyard cookouts, pool parties, or last-minute shindigs. I enjoy nothing more than putting together a delicious meal of dips and appetizers. I always bring something to share. Hailey was on board with putting together a snack tray to welcome our guests. We debated whether to make my Avocado feta salsa which is usually the first dip that disappears at parties, but since I have never met anyone who doesn’t like caramelized onion, we decided on that. She was very proud of her finished product. Even the cherry tomatoes that she picked from her garden were a nice touch.
