How about “Continuing the Adventure: Bar Harbor, Maine – Part 2”?

As we left off in Part 1 of our Bar Harbor Trip, I had just recovered from a terrible bout of food-poisoning. I’m a person who always tries to see the positive side of things, so there were some things that went in my favor. We ate dinner early that night around 5:00. All of us were tired, so we went to bed early. It means that I fell asleep at 8 o’clock and it was only at 8 o’clock when the realization hit me. It was still early in the morning and not the middle of night, so I was able to sleep for a few hours.

When I got sick, I worried about how much time I would have to miss on my trip while I recovered. But when I woke in the morning, I was surprised by how well I felt. Weak? Yes. Tired? For sure. Not sick. I’ll have it!

We started the day slowly, driving to Acadia for a hike The Bubbles. This was an excellent morning hike. It was a nice trail with a few miles. We had some beautiful views. I concentrated on getting water and LMT, and felt good overall.

We decided to have lunch at Side Street Cafe. It’s a wonderful place! They had excellent service and great food, but the best part is that they gave each child a package of foam-clay, which kept our crew entertained throughout lunch. Mountain Island Ice Cream was full of delicious flavors and creamy ice cream. After that, we walked home for some downtime.

I had a power nap to get me ready for putt-putt. The course was great and even though it was busy it went smoothly. We were all looking for a quick dinner, and we decided to return to Side Street Cafe for their delicious food and margaritas. Kaitlyn convinced David that she needed to buy the junior ranger costume. We then walked around the town, and bought some things. How could David say no? She was beaming and looked adorable.
