I have been guilty of searching ‘how much calories does a baby need at 14 months?’
Some days, I feel like her meals are so inconsistent and I worry about whether she’s getting enough. I don’t want to start counting calories for Kaitlyn yet, but I wanted to see what she ate and how much. I decided to document a whole day for the Munchkin Meals for this month (first Thursday every month!) This is not the most glamorous food day, but this is how it went…
I make her a smoothie every day. I add frozen bananas, almond/peanut/almond butter, dates, and a vegetable. It’s sometimes raw spinach, and other times I use these purees frozen (Giggle Bite). The spinach and zucchini are a great combination!
If she’s sharing with Hailey I will sometimes add some protein, but I usually stick to the basics. She will usually drink the entire sippy cup or very close to it.
I don’t usually offer her a morning snack because we have an early lunch. But if it happens to be there, I will. This sweet nectarine proved to be a big hit.
The picnic lunch was held in a park near the hotel.
She ate approximately 4 crackers and hummus with 4 mango slices, as well as 1/3 of the yogurt pouch.
She ate a graham-cracker, some raisins and the remainder of her yogurt pouch in the afternoon. Dinner was next.
I almost waited to show the meal because I wanted it to be more cohesive, but in reality, a lot of girls’ meals look pretty haphazard. Black olives with olive oil and a sprinkle salt, roasted sweet potato strips, deviled egg, and red pepper strips.
