Since the beginning of math, we have been bouncing around, which is not unusual but is still not ideal for those who like a good pace. When math lessons were met with a lot of tears and stomping on the heels, I knew it was not working for us.
We spent the last two years trying to combat this by using eSingapore. I got the results that I wanted: a microdose (roughly 10 mins per day) eachday, with the aid of simple animated video. It worked! My kids made progress and stopped crying after using this approach.
As I entered 6th and 4th grades in middle school, I felt ready to take things up a notch. As we moved into middle school, I thought my children were ready for more challenge. I also felt that I needed to switch to a highly-regarded math curriculum. legacy&search=saxon&search_term=saxon”>Saxon, a rigorous spiral approach. Many consider it the best, but the downside is that the lessons are long and dry.
I didn’t like that description but wanted to feel that solid curriculum. Enter- Nicole The Math Lady. This simple solution is making homeschooling moms’ lives easier and more fun with her work.
