Curriculum for Homeschooling: 6th Grade & 4th Grade

Here, we’re in summer mode. We are currently on a road trip, but also enjoying splashing about, watching movies when it rains, and having a more relaxed schedule. Check out these pictures of my girls with their wind-dried locks, taken when I made them take a picture with their new curriculum. Add haircuts to your to-do list…

However with temperatures rising and the desire to be outside during midday waning, we have now started to prepare for our new school year. I am ready to start the new school year with my curriculum.

This year, choosing curriculum was easy. It’s not because I know what works for each child or that I have a better grasp of the options, but it was easy to make all my choices within a couple days. I ordered everything I needed and had it ready. This will allow me to spend more time on the things I need to learn and prepare to teach.

It’s official, I have a MIDDLE SCHOOLER. While it may sound crazy, in a homeschooling setting, it actually feels quite relaxed. Even so, I still feel like I need to take it up a notch, but that’s something I’ve felt every year since her 3rd-grade entry; a natural progression of responsibility and challenge.
