However with temperatures rising and the desire to be outside during midday waning, we have now started to prepare for our new school year. I am ready to start the new school year with my curriculum.
This year, choosing curriculum was easy. It’s not because I know what works for each child or that I have a better grasp of the options, but it was easy to make all my choices within a couple days. I ordered everything I needed and had it ready. This will allow me to spend more time on the things I need to learn and prepare to teach.
It’s official, I have a MIDDLE SCHOOLER. While it may sound crazy, in a homeschooling setting, it actually feels quite relaxed. Even so, I still feel like I need to take it up a notch, but that’s something I’ve felt every year since her 3rd-grade entry; a natural progression of responsibility and challenge.
