The fall is just around the corner (8 days!) A different mood is in the air now that fall is almost here (8 days! As we return to our routines, the world begins to quieten down. Our thoughts begin to turn towards sweaters, hot drinks, and vibrant autumn leaves. It’s the perfect time to snuggle up and read books with your children. Here are some of my favorite fall read-aloud books. While there are a few goblins and ghosts, I assure you that they’re not frightening!

Princess Posey & the Monster Stew -Stephanie Greenie, Ages 5+
Princess Posey is an enchanting series of chapter books for early readers. This Halloween edition is no exception. Princess Posey loves Halloween and the Halloween party at her school. Princess Posey is nervous when her teacher informs her that there will be a monster soup at the Halloween party. This book shows Princess Posey overcoming her fears, and realizing that it is okay to feel a bit scared when you are surrounded by friends.
Invisible Inkling – Dangerous Pumpkins – Emily Jenkins (Ages 6+)
This crazy story is the second in the Invisible Inkling Series, and it follows a young child named Hank with his invisible pet. Hank’s older sister scares him with terrifying tricks every year, but Hank is determined to get revenge this year. Inkling, his invisible pet, loves Halloween and especially pumpkins. Hank and Inkling have a lot of fun as they try to choose a Halloween costume, get revenge on Nadia and stop Inkling eating every pumpkin.
