You may have heard about the app Reading Eggs. We’ve been using it off and on over the past couple of years. You might not be aware that this app has several different programs to suit various age groups, including reading skills, math and Fast Phonics.

- Reading Eggs Jr. is a game and activity for children aged 2-4. It helps build alphabet knowledge.
- Reading Eggs offers structured lessons to teach children phonics and site words.
- Reading Eggspress helps kids build literacy skills and confidence.
- Math Seeds is a structured program for children aged 3-9, which teaches essential math skills.
Fast Phonics is a brand new program that they have added recently. This was the main reason for renewing my subscription. Fast Phonics, designed for children aged 5-10, offers phonics lessons covering key skills such as letter sound recognition, blend, and spelling. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Our language arts curriculum includes The Good and the Beautiful and Language lessons for a living education as well as Brave writer materials. I use books to teach, and then reinforce concepts using apps. My kids don’t even realize that they are “doing” school.
