As someone who has homeschooled my two oldest daughters for just 5 years, I have seen homeschooling blossom with amazing opportunities. Online offerings have become one of our main focuses as my kids age (10 and 8). Initially we used Codeverse and Spanish Academy before expanding a few months ago to include Synthesis for Hailey.
Uncertain of what to expect at first, I quickly fell in love with this collaborative learning program that teaches children critical thinking skills. Though my daughter attends weekly cohorts alone (they encourage minimal parent participation), they kicked things off with a parent session that addressed my top goals (growth mindset, creative problem solving, group communication and goal reaching across cultures etc). They also send weekly emails to parents with updates and video snippets from your child’s session so I can better understand their work and her individual growth.
I’ve shared bits and pieces about our experience, how it has encouraged Hailey to be more thoughtful decision maker and communicator, in hopes that perhaps others find this program suitable. While we homeschool, this program is open to anyone seeking an enjoyable challenge for their child – homeschoolers or not!
