We are now officially in homeschooling mode. We’re really enjoying the more relaxed pace and spending our extra time kayaking and watching family films.
We will enjoy our downtime as I decide whether to start our fall curriculum in July (which is a bit early for us) or August (which is more normal), but we do have a trip planned out west for early August where we’ll spend time playing with maps and exploring National Parks rather than doing math lessons.
Because I don’t know when we will start, I want everything to be ready for us. Last year, things were backordered, which was understandable because it was an incredibly busy year.
I still prefer to be prepared so I have already ordered the curriculum for next year. I will share it with you shortly. But first, I want to give a quick recap of how our homeschool curriculum for third grade and our homeschool curriculum for first grade worked for us.
