Hello to a delicious new meal for the weeknight that will feed your family in a short amount of time and with only one pot. Set up takes less than 10 minutes for a hearty and warm meal that is perfect for the whole family. Slow cooker baked ziti has become a regular in our house.
You can make this in a variety of ways: add more vegetables, use Italian sausage, layer the ziti with ricotta rather than mixing them for a lasagne-like effect; add red pepper flakes to give it a little kick; or, you could even add fresh herbs and Parmesan. You can adjust the recipe to suit your tastes!
To make this meal easy and accessible for the mom who works during the week, I kept it simple. This meal was made midday on Saturday, and we didn’t spend money eating out. Instead, after an afternoon of playing basketball, I prepared this meal.
