Marriage dynamics certainly change when children enter the picture. What helps us prioritize marriage when raising young children?
Yesterday, I read through your (fantastic!) I read all of your (fantastic!) I have a draft of every question and I am eager to get started. marriage was a question that came up a lot. It’s funny, we’ve just begun to talk about it in my women’s group. It’s no wonder that it’s so on everyone’s mind.
The world was open to us when David and I got married. Every night was a date. Weekends were a time to sleep in, finish projects and enjoy a night on the town. It’s been said that the first marriage year is the most difficult, but my experience was the exact opposite. It was a pretty incredible experience.
It’s not the same. Life is still amazing. In many ways, it’s even better. This is the most crazy phase of your life. We are exhausted from managing the household, taking care of two small children, working and making sure that everyone has enough food and clothes.
Even so, I’d venture to say we have a great marriage. Perfect? I don’t think so, but my marriage is strong and happy.
